Sometimes I feel the need to sketch famous cartoon characters than serious things. Featuring Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Felix the Cat, Mickey Mouse, Ristar, Snively, Ren, and a bit of Earthworm Jim, I drew these characters off the top of my head. The ones in the top left are my own creations. The curly-haired boy is “Zargo,” a character I made up in the late 90s, while beside him is a smiling kid with glasses known as “Robby.”
Hands
Sometimes I need reference in how to draw hands, so this sketch I made comes in “handy.” Eh? Eh? I’m sorry…

Chimeras
During my last year of college we were charged to create one of our own chimeras, kind of like how John Carpenter created his in The Thing. I sketched out a bunch of ideas and they were these. At the top is a crocodile’s head with bunny ears, gorilla arms, a snake’s body, and a rabbit’s tail. In the middle is monkey’s head with a snake’s mouth, a gerbil body, and a crocodile’s tail. The final one has a rabbit’s head with a cobra’s hood and tongue, plus it also has crocodile arms and an ape’s body.
Cartoon Facsimiles
These drawings here are not original drawings, but facsimiles I sketched to improve my cartooning abilities. The actual drawings came from Disney Comics and The Ren & Stimpy Show. For the latter I would pause the DVD and sketch the poses from there. It’s actually a very intricately drawn show when you stop to look at it as the poses and expressions are constantly changing. It’s a shame its legacy would be marred by John K.’s abuse of his staff and his horrid “grooming” history.

Goodwill Handbasket
Back in those days I would work for Goodwill Industries and I would occasionally draw their props such as the carts and handbaskets. I did start drawing this basket back in April of 2012, but wouldn’t get around to finishing it until either November or December of that year.
