Throughout 2013 and 2014 I worked for a monthly publication known as The Journal. This magazine was designed to promote the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission in Salt Lake City and was sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This particular mission had people assist others in researching their genealogies in places like the FamilySearch Center and the Family History Library. The mission also included researching the church’s history and archiving important documents and artifacts. Aside from that, there were several other volunteer activities happening in Salt Lake City and they’re documented here. I had the job of being the design editor, arranging the text and photos to make the magazine aesthetically pleasing. I arranged and edited the magazine in Adobe InDesign while touching up the photos in Photoshop. Some of the photos I actually took myself. Featured below is the 2014 February edition.
