I have provided artwork for numerous companies such as MyJennyBook, AC Comics, and the Church History Library. In addition to creating comics and illustrations, I also served as a graphic designer, a marketing/copywriting assistant, and a design editor. Here’s my resume:
AC Comics: Inked several stories for publisher AC Comics as they were preparing to release some new tales for their Femforce comic book series. Among them was the story “Red Heat,” which appeared in Femforce # 176. Inked over the pencil artwork and applied a few original touches to make for a more appealing read.
Inked Femforce story “Atomic Blonde: Enter the AquaNazis!” Also made some artistic corrections in order to bring clarity to the storytelling. Story published in Femforce # 174.
Cartooning Portfolio Magazine: Had sample pages of personal sci-fi comic published in Cartooning Portfolio Magazine: Awesome Stories: The Brave Ones of 2009.
Church History Library: Worked as a graphic designer and marketing assistant for the Church History Library in Utah. Created several conceptual designs for the library’s features and served as a copywriter for a few advertisements.
Illustrated four advertisements that endorsed the library’s training services, online catalog, intranet page, and museum division. The museum ad brought attention to the museum’s many products and the types of discounts reserved for special patrons.
Wrote and illustrated a series of comics called Ned & Samantha for the library. The comics served to inform employees of workplace policies such as the circulation policy, dress codes, security, copyright, office etiquette, and cleanliness policy. Also illustrated a comic that advertised its museum division for the Fall of 2015.
Endorsed 12 new staff members each month by photographing them for the library’s intranet page. This was done so their bios and photos could be viewed online to build teamwork relationships.
Illustrated some storyboards my supervisor used for shooting a film in South Korea. Also created icons for UI Design purposes.
FamilySearch Center: Lent my services in a genealogical facility as a graphic designer. It was for the FamilySearch Center and my assignment involved creating a birthday graphic template that would be used to commemorate employee birthdays.
FamilySearch Center: Provided UI design by creating a Wiki page for the FamilySearch Center. Resized the photos in Photoshop and programmed the layout in the Wiki so the text and images would align harmoniously. Promoted the facility’s many features such as its historical exhibits, family history presentations, and Children’s Play Area.
The Journal: Worked as a design editor for a monthly publication called The Journal. It centered on community service activities taking place in Salt Lake City. Arranged the text and photographs via InDesign to make for an attractive read. Also took some pictures and touched them up in Photoshop.
MyJennyBook: Illustrated four children’s books for MyJennyBook, a company that specializes in creating personalized multimedia stories for children. The goal of the stories was to have children read them and imagine themselves in the place of the protagonist as they go on adventures and learn valuable life lessons. The books included My Big Move and First Day at a New School, Me and My Robot, The MyJennyABC Book, and Hello, World! I’m A New Baby!
Promoted the books through social media such as Twitter and Facebook. Also marketed the series by attending the 2012 launch party in Manhattan and signing books.
Instrumental in making MyJennyBook the number 1 Google hit in 2013 for personalized multimedia stories for children.

Created a comic commemorating the life and work of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz. In 2008 it was displayed in the School of Visual Arts Chelsea gallery as part of the “Kings and Queens Exhibition.” The purpose of the gallery was for artists to portray the lives of kings and queens in their field. I chose Charles Schulz since I always saw him as one of the most influential figures in cartooning.
