This is a joke poster I made in college. It’s about an imaginary band called The Ghostly Hotdogs who are going to play at “Chuckee Cheese” at 4:38 AM. The catch is that the concert tickets cost $500 and they’re so hardcore you need to be 45 and up to attend! Rock on!
Being a gaming fan, I thought it would be fun to illustrate some consoles and controllers that I felt really embodied the magic of videogames. This was a nostalgic piece for me as I played Super Nintendo, Game Boy, and SEGA Genesis as a kid. I also got into the Wii and enjoyed titles like Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid 3.
Starting in March 2013 I worked as an office assistant and graphic designer at the Church History Library in Utah. There they assigned me to work on some ads to market the library’s resources. This particular ad was displayed in August 2013 and was meant to advertise the intranet page for the Church History Department (CHD), so the employees will know where to access all the relevant information. The box the woman is carrying in her shopping cart is a copy of the intranet site. The cart is modeled after a Goodwill cart and this image is owned by the Church History Library. You can view more advertisements in the Church History Department page.
